GarageTek Information:
Interested in becoming a GarageTek franchisee?
Well, you are in good company. Our franchisees are former builders, contractors, marketing executives and entrepreneurs. As a franchisor, we know our success depends on the strength of our local associates..
Recognized Leader
To support our franchisees, GarageTek has developed a leadership position in the fast growing market of garage organization and storage. We revolutionized American garages in 2001 with the concept of paneling the interior of the garage with our patented TekPanel. Add an extensive line of proprietary products and your have what thousands of homeowners throughout North America have called "an amazing transformation!"
Outstanding Customer Service
Our customers are the cornerstone of our company and that is why we are so proud of our 96% customer referral rate. Nearly every person who gets GarageTek installed will refer this home improvement investment to their families and friends. That is the ultimate test of customer satisfaction!
The accolades have not only come from our customers, but also the media. GarageTek is repeatedly recognized on national TV by such prestigious networks as: HGTV, CNBC and FOX, as well as national magazines such as: Money, Builder, Building Products and Entrepreneur. In fact, Money Magazine referred to us as "...a great payoff that increases the home value..." in June of 2004 and a hot franchise in August of 2003. And, the consumer press has been raving about GarageTek for years. Most recently, InStyle, House Beautiful and Home magazine have featured the ability of GarageTek to take a garage from chaos to clean!
Investment in the Future
The estimated initial investment made by each franchisee is typically around US$250,000 which includes a franchise fee from US$50,000 plus build-out of a commercial location. Franchisees pay a continuing service fee (royalty) of six percent and contribute four percent to a national marketing fund.
Franchisees are required to have an office/showroom space with inventory/storage area totaling 2,500-3,000 square feet. Initial staffing includes the owner/franchisee who will handle the sales and marketing, one lead installer, one assistant installer, and an administrative assistant/receptionist to facilitate sales and servicing.
A comprehensive, multi-phase training program covers selling and installing the system. Ongoing support includes sales and promotional materials, print advertising, accounting procedures, inventory systems, technical and product support.
